Total penjualan di Jawa Barat [di luar Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi] sendiri mencapai 4.000an unit. “Di April tercatat sebanyak 2.600an unit di Bandung. Bandung memang jadi trendsetter motor off-road, karena itu skutik ini sangat diterima di Bandung,” kata Dimyati, di Cikole, Lembang, Bandung, Jawa Barat (11/5).

Dari seluruh wilayah di Indonesia, Jawa Barat jadi penyumbang terbesar penjualan X-Ride. “Total penjualan nasional X-Ride mencapai 12.000an, Jawa Barat jadi yang tebesar,” sambung Eko Prabowo GM Marketing Communication and Community Development PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing [YIMM] di tempat yang sama.

Tingginya penjualan X-Ride di Jawa Barat khususnya di Bandung karena didukung oleh aktivitas yang dilukakukan komunitas X-Ride. “Volumenya mencapai sebulan sekali,” kata Dimyati.

Lelaki yang akrab disapa Ade itu juga menjelaskan kalau pengguna X-Ride rata-rata sudah punya motor trail, “Jadi mereka ingin mencoba off road dengan motor yang berbeda dan sisanya para pehobi off road pemula,” tegas Ade.

Sejak pertama diluncurkan, YIMM hanya menargetkan penjualannya sebanyak 5.000 unit per bulan. Kemudian naik jadi 10.000 unit perbulan dan sekarang angka penjualannya sudah mencapai 12.000 unit perbulan
