M Fadli : Balapan Vespa Nggak Susah, Tapi…

Kata pebalap nasional yang sempat mencicipi balapan Moto2 sebagai pebalap wild card, M. Fadli, balapan dengan Vespa punya gaya berkendara yang sedikit sama dengan motor sport.

“Balapan Vespa lebih mirip ke motor sport. Tapi saat masuk tikungan ke kanan motor miring dan buru-buru didiriin saat keluar tikungan karena ada mesin di kanan, agak berbeda dengan motor bebek,” ujar Fadli.

Lebih lanjut Fadli menuturkan, ada beberapa hal yang harus dipahami oleh pengendara saat balapan Vespa. Pertama pebalap harus tau kemiringan maksimum Vespa itu, karena kalau nggak paham dan asal nikung, mesin bisa nempel di aspal, dan bisa jatuh.

“Balap Vespa sebenarnya nggak sulit, tapi buat mereka yang sudah biasa pakai Vespa. Kalau ente biasa bawa bebek terus balapan pakai Vespa, pastinya akan terasa aneh dan sulit awalnya.”

Fadli juga menuturkan kalau perpindahan gigi saat balapan Vespa sama seperti motor sport yang terkadang kopling tak digunakan. “Saat masuk gigi satu, tuas diputar ke atas dan kopling tetap digunakan. Tapi saat masuk gigi berikutnya, tuas kopling nggak perlu ditarik cukup dorong ke bawah tuasnya.”
