Yamaha R25 Ikut Balapan Musim 2014

GILAMOTOR.com – Dalam prosesi peluncuran Yamaha Racing Team (YRT) di Yamaha Head Office di Pulogadung Jakarta Timur pada Selasa 11 Maret 2014, Yamaha menampilkan beberapa unit motor dengan livery balap musim 2014.

Yamaha YZF-R6, Jupiter Z1 dan YZF-R15 hadir dengan warna biru putih, sama seperti warna motor Yamaha di MotoGP. Ketiga motor itu akan turun di balapan Indoprix, IRS, Suzuka 4 Hours dan Yamaha Cup Race.

Tapi dari ketiga model motor itu, ada yang jauh lebih menarik yaitu rencana Yamaha ikut balapan di kelas 250 cc. Di katakan M. Abidin GM Service and Motorsport Yamaha Indonesia, tahun ini Yamaha akan ikut balapan kelas 250cc dengan R25.

“Yamaha akan ikut balapan di kelas 250 cc,” ucap Abidin singkat. “R25 jelas. Kita sudah siapin. powernya besar, bobotnya ringan, pasti wahhh,” yakin Abidin.

Ketika ditekannya rencana Yamaha akan ikut balapan kelas 250 cc tahun ini, M Abidin tak mengeluarkan suara, hanya mengisyaratkan dengan menganggukkan kepala sambil menyantap makan siang.

Seperti diketahui, tahun ini Yamaha akan meluncurkan motor sport 250cc yaitu R25 yang pertama kali diperkenalkan pada ajang Tokyo Motor Show tahun lalu.

Yamaha R25 punya dimensi (p x l x t) 2.000 mm x 720 mm x 1,140 mm. R25 dibekali dengan mesin 249cc, 2 silinder segaris, 4 tak, perbendingin cairan dan sudah mengaplikasi sistem injeksi dengan transmisi 6 percepatan.
