Jokowi Bersepeda Bareng Lorenzo

GILAMOTOR.com – Pagi ini Gubernur DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo kedatangan tamu istimewa asal Spanyol Jorge Lorenzo di rumah dinasnya di Jalan Taman Suropati No 7, Menteng, Jakarta.

Sekitar pukul 6.30 wib Jorge Lorenzo dan timnya tiba di rumah dinas Jokowi. Sesaat kemudian, Jokowi dan Lorenzo berserta perwakilan dari komunitas Bike to Work bersiap bersepeda menuju Balai Kota DKI di kawasan Kebon Sirih. Tapi gowes bersama tertunda karena tiba-tiba hujan turun cukup lebat. Satu jam kemudian hujan mulai reda, Jokowi dan Lorenzo pun kembali bersiap bersepeda bareng.

Sekitara pukul 7.30 di bawah rintik gerimis, Jokowi dan pembalap MotoGP dari tim Yamaha Racing itu menggowes sepedanya menuju Balai Kota.

Lorenzo tampak bersemangat bersepeda bareng Guburnur DKI Jakarta yang doyan blusukan itu. Jokowi dan Lorenzo menunggangi sepeda elektrik Yamaha Pas Brace-L.

Selain Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi pun sebenarnya dijadwalkan ikut dalam rombongan gewes bareng Jokowi. Tapi karena ada hal yang harus dilakukan, Rossi tak jadi ikut gowes. Pembalap Italia itu langsung menuju Balai Kota DKI Jakarta bersama tim nya.

“Kami senang bisa mendatangkan kembali Jorge Lorenzo dan Valentino Rossi ke Indonesia,” ucap Executive Vice President PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) di Balai Kota, Jum’at (17/1).

Di sisi lain, Jokowi berharap bersepeda jadi kebiasaan warganya. “Kami ingin supaya bersepeda jadi kebiasaan. Tiap hari Jum’at sepedaan ke kantor dan tentunya frekuensinya nanti akan bertambah,” kata Jokowi.
