I Wanna Get Home Safely, Keselamatan Adalah Prioritas Bukan Pilihan

GILAMOTOR.com – Ngerihh bro ngeliat data korban kecelakaan dan korban meninggal akibat kecelakaan di jalan raya. Dari data Korlantas Polri, 15% korban kecelakaan lalu lintas jalan di Indonesia meninggal dunia. 65% menderita luka ringan dan 20% menderita luka berat.

Tahun lalu, korban tewas akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas jalan mencapai sekitar 29 ribu jiwa. Sedangkan, korban luka berat dan luka ringan masing-masing adalah sekitar 39 ribu orang dan 128 ribu orang.

Karena itu, keselamatan di jalan raya jadi salah satu pokok pemikiran utama berbagai kalangan di Indonesia dan dunia. Beragam usaha melalui beragam kampanye keselamatan dilakukan. Salah satunya oleh persahaan asuransi dengan mengangkat program I Wanna Get Home Safely (IWGHS).

IWGHS membuat berbagai aksi nyata, baik berupa bantuan untuk para korban kecelakaan lalu lintas maupun kampanye untuk mencegah kecelakaan lalu lintas tersebut.

Usaha yang dilakukan tersebut mendapatkan apresiasi dari Korlantas Porli dalam “Malam Apresiasi Pelopor Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas” pada bulan Juni 2013. “Perjalanan kita untuk menurunkan tingkat kecelakaan di jalan masih sangat panjang, kita akan terus berkomitmen bersama-sama dengan berbagai pihak yang memiliki concern terhadap keselamatan masyarakat saat berada di jalan sehingga dapat menurunkan tingkat kecelakaan di Indonesia yang sudah sangat mengkhawatirkan,” ucap Business Support Division Head Adira Insurance, Ernita Sari.

Jika ditinjau kembali, berdasarkan data dari Korlantas Polri, memang terjadi penurunan di tahun 2012 jika dibandingkan tahun 2011. Pada tahun 2011 tersebut, total korban kecelakaan lalu lintas sekitar 197 ribu jiwa dan sebanyak 18% meninggal dunia.

Jumlah anak negeri yang bergelimpangan di jalan pada tahun 2011 mencapai 32.657 jiwa atau setara dengan sekitar 89 jiwa per hari. 89 jiwa perhari, bro.. Ngerih gak tuh.? Korban perang aja nggak sebanyak itu.

Meski belum signifikan, tapi turunnya tingkat kecelakaan tersebut memperkuat keyakinan IWGHS untuk terus berkampanye agar tingkat kecelakaan semakin lama semakin menurun.

Untuk meminimalisir tingkat kecelakaan pengendara sepeda motor dan mobil, IWGHS terus menggalakkan kampanye keselamatannya bersama-sama dengan berbagai komunitas motor dan mobil. “Bagi I Wanna Get Home Safely, keselamatan saat berada di jalan adalah prioritas, bukanlah sebuah pilihan,” tegas Ernita.
