TVS Kembangkan Mesin 250cc Full Fairing dan Naked

GILAMOTOR.com. – TVS Motor Company memperkenalkan Apache di tahun 2007.  Dan motor itu meraih sukses besar. Motor Apache terkenal dengan ciri khas karakter handling yang sporty dan mesin dengan perforna yang kencang. Makanya TVS Indonesia melekatkan tagline “Kencangnya Mendebarkan.”

Sekarang, TVS India dikabarkan sedang mempersiapkan mesin yang lebih besar dari 180cc. Seperti diberitakan Motorbeam, TVS sedang mengembangkan Apache 220/250. Motor berkapasitas besar itu sekarang sedang dalam pengujian di VRDE (Vehicle Research and Development Establishment).

VRDE adalah tempat pengujian kendaraan bermotor bersertifikat di India. Walaupun mesin baru Apache sedang tahap pengujian, namun nampaknya peluncurannya diperkirakan pada tahun 2014-2015 nanti.

Apache 200/250 akan muncul dalam dua varian, full fairing dan naked. Motor ini dilengkapi pendingin oli dengan sistem pasokan bahan bakar Injeksi. Selain itu mesin baru ini dipastikan berpendingin air untuk mengademkan mesin. Motor baru ini diperkirakan punya tenaga di kisaran 25 BHP dengan torsi 20 Nm.

Untuk menunjang keselamatan, TVS akan melengkapi mesin barunya dengan sistem pengereman ABS dengan dua cakram. Prediksi harga Apache 220/250 diperkirakan ada di kisaran 23 juta. Motor ini diproyeksikan untuk bersaing dengan Bajaj 200 NS, KTM Duke 200, dan CBR 250. Jelas tidak mudah bagi TVS untuk bersaing dengan Bajaj, KTM, dan Honda, tapi mereka tidak menyerah begitu saja. Namanya juga usaha, betul gak..?

Anyway, by the way, bus way… Dikabarkan, TVS juga akan bermain di motor matic 125cc untuk pasar india.
