YCR Tangerang, Proses Bawa Pebali Ke Balap Resmi

GILAMOTOR.com, Tangerang. – Yamaha Cup Race seri ketujuh di Tigaraksa, Tangerang, digelar Yamaha di jalan raya kawasan Pemda Tigaraksa, Tangerang, yang disulap jadi sirkuit dadakan pada Minggu (18/10) kemarin.

Bicara masalah sulap menyulap jalan raya atau lahan kosong jadi sirkuit, Yamaha memang jagonya. Sejak tahun 1990 yang dulu namanya Yamaha Sunday Race, Yamaha sudah melakukan pekerjaan mengubah jalan raya atau lahan kosong jadi sirkuit dadakan yang ciamik.

Sejak tahun 1990, Yamaha telah merintis event balap itu di Ancol kemudian berkembang ke beberapa kota di Indonesia dan mampu melahirkan pebalap-pebalap terkenal, sebut saja Petrus Tobun Canisius, Ahmad Jayadi, Roy Adrianto, Hendriansyah hingga era Doni Tata Pradita yang bisa melanglang buana ke pentas dunia melalui program Road to World Champion from Zero to Hero.

Berbagai prestasi telah ditorehkan para pebalap lulusan Yamaha Cup Race seperti Petrus Canisius yang menjadi juara lima kali berturut-turut tahun 1993 – 1997. Lalu Ahmad Jayadi juara tujuh kali berturut-turut dari tahun 1995- 2001 di mana keduanya berkesempatan mendapat wild card bertanding di ajang World GP (MotoGP) tahun 1996 dan 1997 di Sirkuit Sentul.

Selanjutnya Doni Tata dengan talentanya berhasil menembus GP 125 dan GP 250 dilanjutkan dengan rangkaian seri World Supersport 600 cc. Ini tentunya adalah hasil dari sebuah kompetisi Yamaha Cup Race yang dirancang memiliki program berjenjang menuju kelas balap motor yang lebih tinggi.

Di balapan satu merek  tahun 2012 ini, Yamaha memberikan hadiah kepada pebalap liar untuk bisa ikut serta di balapan resmi di setiap serinya. Kalau ada yang resmi, ngapain ukut yang liar.. Betuul..?

Di Yamaha Cup Race Tangerang ini Yamaha menyediakan dua kelas yang katanya diisi oleh para pebali (pebalap liar) yang sering ngebut di jalanan di kawasan Pemda Tigaraksa ini. Kelas pertama adalah Matic Tune Up 130 cc dan bebek 4 Tak 110 cc Standar Showroom.

Ray Aldi, M.Nurul, Aip Kurniawan, Allim Lee dan Erik Dea Phols berhasil mengisi podium satu sampai lima di kelas Matik Tune Up 130 cc. Dan di podium satu sampai lima di kelas bebek 110 cc Standar Showroom diisi Ahdro Dhoelz, Denis Heriawan, Rahmat, Agung JP dan M.Robin.

“Ini adalah proses untuk membawa pebalap liar beralih ke balapan resmi. Di sini kita tunjukkan bahwa balapan di lintasan resmi jauh lebih menjanjikan dari pada kebut-kebutan di jalanan,” kata Bambang Asmarabudi, yang jadi ketua penyelenggara YCR 2012 ini.

Dari pada balapan gak jelas yang kadang-kadang diudak-udak polisi, mending ikutan yang resmi aja, bro. Lebih bergengsi, lebih aman karena diselenggarakan oleh para penyelenggara yang udah klotokan nanganin balapan dan bisa jadi artis alias diliput media.
