Yuk Jadi Pengendara Motor Yang Baik

GILAMOTOR.com, Jakarta. – “Pengendara yang baik itu seperti apa, ada yang tahu?” Sepenggal pertanyaan dari salah satu instruktur yang menyampaikan materi safety riding sesi teori membuka acara GilaMotor Evalube Safety Riding Course (SCR), di Gedung Koni, Tanah Abang, Jakarta Pusat (21/4).

Jawaban dari para peserta yang merupakan anggota komunitas GilaMotor se-Jabodetabek memberikan jawaban beragam.

“Pengendara yang baik adalah pengendara yang selalu mematuhi peraturan lalulintas,” jawab seorang peserta. “Pengendara yang baik adalah pengendara yang taat peraturan lalu lintas, menghormati pengendara lain dan selalu menggunakan perlengkapan berkendara,” jawaban dari peserta lainnya.

Namun dari sekian banyak jawaban yang dilontarkan oleh peserta, tidak ada satupun yang dinilai tepat oleh instruktur. Nah lohh.. Jadi pengendara yang baik itu yang seperti apa..?

Ternyata jawabannya cukup sederhana. “Pengendara yang baik adalah pengendara yang bisa menghindari potensi resiko,” jelas instruktrur safety riding.

Lebih jauh dijelaskan, resiko datangnya bisa dari mana saja dan mungkin jumlahnya ribuan. Oleh karena itu, pengandara yang pandai membaca dan menghindari hal-hal yang berpotensi menimbulkan resiko adalah pengendara yang baik.

“Yang namanya resiko itu bukan cuma masalah kecelakaan lalu-lintas. Contoh lain adalah perampokan motor di jalan, ditilang polisi, berselisih atau berantem dengan pengendara lain, dihajar warga karena kenalpot berisik dan banyak lagi,” ungkapnya.

Nah, karena itu dikatakan instruktur safety riding dari FAST (First Advanced Safety Riding), pengendara yang baik bukanlah pengendara yang patuh peraturan lalu-lintas, bukan pula yang selalu menggunakan perlengkapan berkendara karena itu merupakan bagian kecil.

Menurutnya, jika pengendara sudah bisa membaca dan menghindari hal yang berpotensi menimbulkan resiko, itulah pengendara yang baik. “Kalau gak pake helm resikonya banyak, ditilang polisi dan yang lebih buruk cidera kepala karena kecelakaan dan yang terburuk adalah kematian. Nah, kalau pengendara sadar hal yang perpotensi menimbulkan resiko tentu dia akan melakukan hal terbaik untuk dirinya dan orang lain,” tegasnya.

Dalam acara yang sepenuhnya didukung oleh pelumas nasional Evalube yang sudah teruji ketangguhan kualitasnya, para peserta GilaMotor SRC juga mendapatkan materi praktek berkendara motor pada kondisi jalan yang biasa dihadapi oleh pengendara di jalan raya.

Kalau gitu, Yuk kita jadi pengendara motor yang baik..!
