Dibekali mesin 220 cc, silinder tunggal, 4 langkah, berpendingin udara dengan teknologi khas Bajaj, DTS-i, mesin Pulsar 220 mampu memproduksi tenaga hingga 21 PS pasa 8.500 rpm dan torsi puncak mencapai 19.12 Nm pada 7000 rpm.

Selain itu, sebagai motornya lelaki yang memiliki performa dan handling yang mantap, Pulsar 220 mampu melesat hingga kecepatan puncak 144 km/jam.
