SMART : Supermoto Makassar Team

GILAMOTOR.com, Makassar. – Demam supermoto kini mulai merambah penjuru negeri. Perlahan namun pasti, motor dual purpose ini seolah menjadi epidemi yang menyerang para bikers yang memiliki semangat muda dan ingin mengekspresikan diri dalam bentuk kebebasan. Dan ini terbentuk menjadi sebuah komunitas sendiri.

Bisa dikatakan, berawal dari sebuah forum Supermoto Indonesia (SMI), komunitas-komunitas baru pecinta supermoto pun bermunculan. Satu di antara sekian banyak komunitas yang terbentuk dari SMI adalah SMOG (Supermotor Owner Group) yang juga memayungi beberapa komunitas supermoto. Tak hanya di Jakarta, bahkan di luar Pulau Jawa.

SMART (Supermoto Makassar Team) adalah salah satu komunitas yang bernaung di bawah SMOG.

Berawal dari dua pemuda yang ingin mengekpresikan kebebasan melalui sepeda motor, kedua pemuda Makassar ini mencoba tampil beda dengan memodifikasi tunggangannya menjadi supermoto. Kavu dan Eby jadi salah satu sumber wabah supermoto di Makassar.

“Ada sesuatu yang beda dari supermoto. Anda bisa bandingkan mulai dari gaya berkendara supermoto dengan motor kebanyakan, jelas sangat berbeda,” terang Kavu, menjelaskan penyebab ketertarikannya pada supermoto.

“Ini adalah ekspresi kami. Bukan sebagai bikers yang urakan, tapi sebagai pecinta sebuah karya yang di dalamnya juga terkandung nilai seni dan olahraga,” katanya lagi.

Sepak terjang kedua pemuda Makassar ini boleh diacungi jempol. SMART yang didirikan secara resmi para 2 Februari 2010 lalu kini telah berisikan lebih dari 20 anggota aktif pecinta supermoto. Menurut Kavu, dengan terus membimbing para anggota dan terus eksis di setiap kegiatan supermoto baik dalam kota maupun luar kota, akan mengangkat nama SMART dan kota Makassar.

“Kami selalu berhubungan dengan para komuitas supermoto dalam dan luar negeri. SMART adalah suatu wadah atau tempat di mana para supermoto owner di Makassar bisa bersosialisasi serta membentuk team yang kompak serta solid untuk bersama-sama memajukan supermoto di Makassar dan sekitarnya,” aku Eby Febio.

“Visi dan misi kami tidak lain hanya untuk memperkenalkan kepada publik bahwa supermoto itu ada, It’s Alive, juga sebagai salah satu tanda eksistensi kami dalam dunia otomotif di Indonesia khususnya di Makassar.”

Dengan semangat mudanya, Kavu juga mengatakan bahwa supermoto itu adalah sebuah aliran modifikasi motor dan lifestyle, serta sebagai wadah otomotif dalam meningkatkan mutu dunia otomotif di Indonesia.

“Dan tidak ketinggalan SMART akan membentuk tim balap supermoto agar bisa ikut berkompetisi di tiap event supermoto,“ tegasnya.

Dua pemuda Makassar ini berharap semakin banyak pemuda Makassar yang bisa menikmati karya seni supermoto ini. Saat ini SMART bermarkas di  Jl. Haji Bau samping pintu masuk LAGUNA Makassar.
