GILAMOTOR.com. – Maraknya motor sport bermesin 250 cc, membuat lelaki kelahiran Manado 31 tahun silam ini merasa tunggangannya tak lagi special. Pasalnya, Kawasaki Ninja 250 R yang menemaninya sejak tahun 2008 silam, dirasa sudah tak lagi terlihat istimewa di jalan raya.
“Pertama beli keberadaan Ninja 250 R masih jarang ditemui di jalanan, jadi saat riding lumayan bisa jadi pusat perhatian. Tapi sekarang makin banyak yang pake dengan beragam gaya modifikasi, belum lagi pabrikan Honda dan Minerva juga ngeluarin motor 250 cc, terasa makin gak istimewa,†papar Mario sang empu KLX 150 Supermoto.
Ya, hal itulah yang membuat lelaki bernama lengkap Mario R.A SEKEON ini memalingkan hatinya kepada motor petualang yang bisa melahap jalan aspal dan tanah. Kondisi jalan Jakarta yang banyak lubang dan kadang banjir saat hujan, KLX 150 dirasa menjadi pilihan tepat untuk memalingkan hatinya dari Ninja 250 R.
Sebelum menjadi Supermoto, KLX 150 yang diboyong ke garasi pada bulan Februari 2010 lalu sempat dibiarkan ala kadarnya dengan gaya motor penggaruk tanah. Namun setelah 8 bulan berjalan, penggunaan ban pacul pada KLX 150 dirasa kurang pas. Akhirnya pada bulan November 2010, KLX pun diserahkan ke salah satu rumah modifikasi di bilangan Jakarta Selatan untuk dijadikan Supermoto.
“Sebelum di Caos Custom Bikes, motor sempat dua kali pindah bengkel, tapi hasilnya kurang memuaskan. Ban tubeless dengan pelek jari-jari sering bocor. Akhirnya bulan Desember 2010 saya serahkan ke Caos Custum Bikes,†terang mahasiswa S2 Kenotariatan Universitas Jaya Baya ini.
“Saya rasa ini belum maksimal, masih ada part yang harus saya beli lagi biar makin enak di pakainya. Soalnya yang dikerjakan Lerry (juragan Caos Custom Bikes) kemarin lebih fokus merapihkan hasil bengkel modifikasi sebelumnya. Tapi hasilnya sudah jauh lebih baik dari sebelumnya,†tambah Asisten Notaris ini.
Untuk memenuhi keinginan Mario sang Asisten Notaris, Lerry banyak berbenah dibeberapa sektor termasuk penggantian part. “Banyak yang harus dibereskan termasuk penggantian part. Cuma knalpot dan sok depan yang enggak dirubah,†terang Lerry.
“Arm pake punya Honda XR, tromol dan disc dibuat custom, selang rem GPR, spatboard belakang pake punya Acerbis, gear dari Talons, rante pake RK oring 520,†kata Lerry.
Sementara untuk menunjang tampilannya, ban lebar Avon Distanzia dan pelek 3.5 inch sm 4.25 jadi pilihan.
Untuk memberi kesan sangar dan menonjol, warna bodi bawaan pabrik dirubah dengan motif Green Skull alias Tengkorak Hijau. “Grafis green skull jadi pilihan biar KLX keliatan makin sangar,†terang Mario.
Lihatlah aksi KLX 150 Supermoto ini, kesan angker makin mencuat saat The Green Skull saat melibas jalur tanah. So, hati-hati kalau ngeliat The Green Skull ini lewat, bisa-bisa bro en sis kesurupan tengkorak hijau. Hehehe.
